Why This Is Important

I have given this much consideration. Why aren't women paid to cook, clean, and take care of the children? Isn't that a job? Actually it's three jobs combined. Chefs get paid, maids get paid, and day cares get paid so why don't mom's?

Dear Decision Maker,

Out of the estimated 2.5 million unemployed persons
based on the October 2008 Labor Force Survey (LFS),
929 thousand are women (36.8% of the total
unemployed are women. This translates to an
unemployment rate of 6.5 percent for women.
Want to create more jobs? Let's pay these women.
Why should you well if these women have children then
they are doing three jobs in one. Cooking, cleaning and
taking care of the kids. Consider this they are chefs, maids and run a day care.
Not only that they would be able to pay taxes and not depend on their spouses
to pay all the taxes. This would also lower the stress level of men. Even if you pay them minimum wage, you have just created a job for 929 thousand people. That is a lot of family's
who would finally have food on the table. Can you argue with that? If you can then I want to hear it. Thank you.
