-Own a dog or cat? Get them spayed or neutered!  It really is the single most important thing an individual animal owner can do to help control overpopulation and bring down the euthanasia rate!

-Feeding a stray?  Have that cat fixed!  Most communities have low cost spay/neuter clinics or programs for feral cats.  That stray cat you feed along with her mate and offspring could produce 370,092 cats in just 7 years.   Just Google Low Cost Spay/Neuter in your area.

-Don't buy or breed!!!  Millions of animals die every year... millions.  Buying an animal often supports puppy mills and means one more shelter animal won't find a loving home.

-Adopt a shelter animal.  They'll be forever grateful

-Support your local pet store that DOESN'T sell animals, just animal supplies.  You can also suggest to your local store that they get involved and help local animal shelters find homes for unwanted animals.

-Support a spay/neuter clinic.  Donate to one in your area!
