In the midst of an economic crisis, Senators McCain and Obama are spending record amounts on negative campaign ads - $30 miller per week combined!
According to the Wall Street Journal, these negative ads are having practically no impact on the election cycle whatsoever.
There are three weeks left in this election - that's $90 million dollars that will likely be spent on ineffective, negative campaign ads. That's a lot of cash.
This money should be directed to charities trying to help struggling people get through these difficult times. With charitable donations down and demand for services up, they need all the help they can get.
Senators Obama and McCain: Put your money where your mouth is! Nix the negative ads and put the money towards helping the real victims of the economic crisis.

Put your money where your mouth is!
Dear Senators Obama and McCain,
Three weeks remain in the presidential election. Already, you have spent a record amount of money on negative campaign ads - averaging $30 million per week combined! Furthermore, respected media outlets (such as the Wall Street Journal) are reporting that these ads are having almost no impact in shaping people's opinions.

We're in the midst of the worst economic crisis our country has seen in a long time. Local charities across the U.S. are struggling to meet the needs of people trying to get through these difficult times. Homeless shelters and food banks are having trouble making ends meet. Donations are down and demand for services is way, way up.

Senator, I urge you to put your money where your mouth is. Forget the ineffective negative ads and take a stance in helping those who need it most - the charities serving poor, vulnerable Americans.

Sincereley,
[Your name]
