HB2571 is a throw back to the political patronage and corruption in Arizona Government. It gives too much power to the Executive and their political appointees to hire and fire at-will. Think about the Fiesta Bowl junkets, ALEC pay for play, Goldwater gifts and recent personnel disasters such as Wil Cardon, Duane Belcher, AIRC Chair Mathis. Arizona does not need more political patronage and corruption and cronyism in State Government. This bill is unconstitutional and we support the state employees in bringing a lawsuit and asking the court for an injunction to stop it.
