The City of Jasper is considering entering into a lease agreement with Twisted Oak LLC to retrofit and operate the city’s antiquated coal-fired power plant. The plan calls for the facility to be used as a natural gas and biomass co-firing facility to generate electricity. The Citizens for a Healthy Dubois County and Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana are working hard to urge the city of Jasper to pass a clean air ordinance to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the community.
