A little more than a week ago the United Nations addressed the arbitrary killing, specifically under the specification of "sexual orientation." This removal allows for gays, lesbians, and transgenders, amongst others to be killed without cause.

The United Nations, General Assembly’s Third Committee on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian issues removed “sexual orientation” from a resolution addressing extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions this past week. The vote was overwhelming approved by a majority of African, Middle East and Carribean nations.

No where in the Universal Human Rights Act of the United Nation, are Gays, Lesbians, and transgenders specifically protected. But this act of humanitarianism, is by far against the grain of the United Nations. This is just a step backward for peaceful people, that fought so long for equal rights.

Please join me in protest against this awful act.

Please add your voice in protest against the diminishing rights of LGBT

Dear, President Obama

I am writing you on behalf of the unofficial Amnesty International group at Plymouth State University, and as a concerned citizen.

It has recently come to our attention that the United Nation's third committee has removed "sexual orientation," from a list of reasons to be protected by arbitrary killings.

As president you hold a powerful voice in the global community. With all due respect, we ask you use that voice against the amendment to allow arbitrary killings based on sexual orientation.

No where in the UN's Human Rights Act are the LGBT protected specifically. Irregardless they are human beings like me and you. Please do what you know is right and speak against this act of humanitarianism.

Thank you for your time.
