In less than one week, we obtained over 1,000 signatures urging Mayor Coleman to support Marriage Equality in Columbus, Ohio.
This petition was the spark that allowed for Ed Mullen and other LGBT leaders to meet with Mayor Coleman and get his support for the Freedom to Marry.
Not only that, but we were able to obtain the support of countless elected officials inside and out of Columbus - All in favor of our cause!
This was truly a grassroots effort and it’s because of you and your willingness to spread the word on this issue that we can declare victory today.
Thank you for making change happen.
With a large and ever-growing LGBT population, boasting both political and economic influence, shouldn’t Columbus be on the forefront of an issue like marriage equality?
