    1. Annabel Park

It has recently been learned from several credible sources within Coffee Party USA that Annabel Park, founder of Coffee Party USA may issue legal challenges against Coffee Party groups independent of her's such as Coffee Party Progressives. We had hoped this would not happen to our movement. Her and Eric Byler PERSONALLY own under their personal names the right to "coffee party", "coffee party movement", and "coffee party usa". We had hoped this would not happen to our movement. We are politely asking Ms. Park to please reconsider her personal ownership of the Coffee Party, and declare she will not take legal action against supporters who create Coffee Party groups outside of her authority. We feel a movement should not be personally owned like a brand, and that this sets up future problems for supporters. We hope this can be resolved with civility and peace.

Please Free The Coffee Party As A Movement

Dear Ms. Park,

I admire your work so far in bringing civility to the political process. It has come to my attention recently that Eric Byler and yourself have personal ownership of the Coffee Party. According to some reports from others I understand you may exercise this ownership through legal challenge to groups outside of your specific organization. I would like to see a civil solution to this problem. Please consider releasing ownership of the Coffee Party by making a clear statement it is a grassroots movement beyond ownership and that legal action will not be taken against independent nonviolent Coffee Party groups for keeping this name.
