The way we talk about stray cats or dogs, wild animals or pets in front of a child tells on the child's attitude to them. Be the change and teach a child to treat animals with love and care. Help them to realize that animals can feel pain, that they can suffer from cruelty. Make up or read stories where animals act as people's devoted friends.
I write poems for my granddaughter about her friendhip with animals, birds and other creatures. She adores them and she loves our pets.
