I am worried about the welfare of Children in Southern Africa, in particular Mozambique and displaced Zimbabweans in Mozambique. What derives me into this is the rate at which school going girls and boys are abused in Southern Africa. Others are deprived of education by their greedy and irresponsible governments, ignorant parents or orphanage.
Sponsorship could be the best solution to these children.
Plight of the Children of Southern Africa
Dear Decision Maker,
I write to ask for your government to assist the school going Children of Southern Africa so that they are saved from abuse. There many children roaming the streets without going to school due to lack of finance to pay for their school and study materials. There are talented school leavers who cannot find their way to university due to lack of funds.
In Mozambique selection for University entry is very subjective and as a teacher it sometimes hurts me to see some of our very intelligent students roaming the streets because they don't have middle men to arrange a place for university.
I am a Zimbabwean teaching English in Mozambique and I have been organizing university paces for some good Mozambican students in Zimbabwe but with the high cost of Education many are dropping out. As an English teacher I have been helping willing students with preparations in EFL.
I am asking your government to assist these find their way into university. A team of non partisan individuals can be used to identify deprived children for a possible sponsorship.
Apart from Mozambican Children there are Zimbabwean Children who ran away from the political problems in their country. These Children are not studying because the Mozambican Curriculum is in Portuguese and for someone who wants to continue with secondary school it becomes a difficult situation. If possible English schools could be built with the help of your government to ensure that these deprived Children are given a chance to prepare for their future which could be for our own good as well.
Thank you
Yours Truly
