Hunger affects more than 13 million children in America every day. These undernourished children are in great danger of social, physical, and educational problems. Consider that in 2007, 49 percent of all food stamp recipients were children.

School lunch programs help children in food-insecure homes receive proper nutrition on a daily basis, but these children do not receive the same care outside of school. During the summer months, the number of children served by food banks in the U.S. surges.

Please join the efforts of Feeding America to ensure all children receive the nutrition they need. You can take action now: urge Congress to make sure all our nation's children get three nutritious meals every day, even in the summer months.
