(Please fax or mail the following letter.)
Dear District Attorney Soares,
I write with grave concern regarding Caleb Capen of 1156 Madison Avenue, who recently tortured, drowned, and incinerated a defenseless kitten. In addition, Capen admitted to abusing two other cats in his possession, including viciously beating them with a metal wrench, stepping on and squeezing them excessively.
As you may know, animal torture is consistently linked with interpersonal abuse and violence. Those who lack empathy make no distinction among species.
For the sake of your community - its people and animals alike - I respectfully urge you to seek the most stringent punishment for Caleb Capen, including mandatory psychiatric treatment. In addition, please bar Capen from future contact with animals.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.
