When I logged into Gmail the other day I was shocked to see a little text ad saying "Fur is green". Upon further investigation, it turns out Google is doing a great deal of advertising for the fur industry, even on the margins of animal rights blogs!
Fortunately there is already a campaign to convince Google to live up to their pledge for corporate ethics: Fur Is Evil. (Sign their petition here.)
The Fur Council of Canada is the group behind the disturbing "Fur is green" propaganda. I sent them an email to let them know they didn't fool me, and that I'm outraged by their dishonest public relations efforts: info@furcouncil.com.
