As Rush Limbaugh himself has inferred, but not actually stated, his statements concerning the sexual activities of Sandra Fluke and other female Georgetown University students was demeaning, atrocious, and uncalled for. His misogynist attitude and lack of true contrition in this matter has generated a great deal of disgust amongst the populace of the United States of America. Male and female, Republican and Democrat, listener and non-listener alike are shocked that such horrifically slanderous commentary has been made by this very prominent public figure and yet nothing has truly been done to show him that his remarks are unacceptable.  Rush Limbaugh has not only demeaned a burgeoning lawyer and advocate for women's rights. He has also greatly offended nearly every man and woman that is a citizen of this great nation. 

Birth control does not just prevent unwanted pregnancy; it is also prescribed for the treatment of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), Amenorrhea, Menorrhagia, Dysmenorrhea, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, Perimenopause, Post-Menopause, Anemia, Hirsutism, Acne, and more. Furthermore, it is often used to lower the risk of endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and heart disease!

Rush Limbaugh has effectively reduced a very large number of women in the United States to "sluts" and "prostitutes" who should "post the videos (of them having sex) online so that we can all watch". His so-called apology to Sandra Fluke, and thereby to the women of this nation and the men that stand by them, was nothing more than an additional slap in the face and is completely and utterly unacceptable.

We want you, the employers and sponsors of The Rush Limbaugh Show, to discontinue your support of him and of his show. He must be made to understand that such slanderous and degrading comments are not honest or amusing in any shape, form, or fashion and that they cannot, and will not, be tolerated by your listeners and customers.

Note: Since sponsors are dropping Mr. Limbaugh at a rate that I cannot keep up with and I don't want to spam anyone with additional pleas, I will be sending this petition to all national companies that are still advertising with Limbaugh at the close date. I will, however, continue to search for contact information for his employers and add them to the petition recipients before the close date.
