Educate 1 Person Each week for Open source/Free Softwares

The Issue

Hi Guyz,
Practically, Linux is the ONLY operating system ever built for ethical reasons Rather than technological or commercial purposes as most of the O.S. Were built. Linux has the ethical social system as it gives you the freedoms discussed below.

This incurred wrath of several businessmen who wanted to “Sell” their O.S.

Linux is not like other Operating Systems saying: “we ship what we ship.” Linux or rather the open source community says: “we ship what you want!”

Linux provides with the 4 essential freedoms every software should have:

1:Freedom to run the program however you wish. 2:Freedom to study the source-code of the program and modify it to attain what ever you wish. 3:Freedom to re-distribute the original program whenever you wish. 4:Freedom to distribute your modified version of the program whenever you wish.

If any one of these freedoms is missing, the software becomes propiotory software. They have an unjust social system as it gives the developer power over the users and keep them divided and helpless. This is an injustice. Propiotory softwares should not exist.

Un-fortunately The Indian Sub-Continent is the largest market for Microsoft and its other products. And almost 60% of these products are used illegally without purchasing a proper licence!
So I feel that the switch-over to Linux which is faster, More powerful, free (or cheap if you buy enterprise licence) and less hardware resource consuming is the best option available!
Please try to spread Linux where ever you can as Linux alone has the power to change the world (atleast in software relevance) and keep it FREE!

N APetition Starter I am Greatly indebted to the Open Source Community. So I have started educating people about LINUX by being a faculty in one of the best IT Training institutes in my State. I hope Open Source replaces propitiatory softwares soon and the world is liberated from the unjust propitiatory softwares.
