On election day, Missouri voters approved Proposition B, a package of reforms designed to shut down inhumane "puppy mills" in Missouri. With more than 3,000 puppy mills operating in Missouri, more than any other state in the U.S., it's time to stand up for humane treatment for dogs.
Unfortunately, some Missouri legislators are already talking about weakening the new law, or even repealing it, despite its approval by over 50% of Missourians.
Tell the Missouri General Assembly to follow the will of the people and keep Prop B strong.
Don't scrap Proposition B
Greetings,
On election day, a majority of Missouri voters voted to crack down on puppy mills by voting "yes" on Proposition B. Even though the referendum passed, some Missouri legislators are already talking about weakening or even repealing this crucial legislation. I'm writing to ask you to stand with Missouri voters and vote against any attempt to weaken or scrap Proposition B.
Puppy mills are inhumane. Dogs are forced into tiny, filthy cages. In many cases they are denied adequate food and water and basic veterinary care. And there are more puppy mills in Missouri than any other U.S. state.
The voters have spoken, and they're ready to crack down on puppy mills. I hope you'll stand up to the special interests and keep Proposition B strong.
