About this Petition Petition Letter

This is to gain the awareness of how dangerous domestic violence can be. Whether it is the woman being abused or the man, either way it should not happen. Stalking can occur which can ruin a person's life and have them live in fear. So many stories go around about this happening and nothing is ever truly done to the abuser. As I speak for myself, my abuser got 2 days at most in jail and was allowed to be released after another inmate posted his bond. This is wrong and my life has been ruined because of it. This is in prevention for others to not go through the same thing.

This letter is being sent from those who have been through some sort of domestic violence. We are trying to raise awareness about how truly dangerous this can be. We are also asking to have some sort of measures taken towards the individuals that put this violence onto another person and that their punishments become more heard. Some have gone through this situation before and the violator was released soon after to only keep putting harm onto the other. Abuse, physical or mental should not be tolerated. This can harm a person in so many ways and it is uncalled for.
