If massive corporate money in politics is allowed as free speech, then occupation of public spaces by citizens should be allowed and protected as free speech. Free access of public spaces and their use as a forum are the essential ingredients to a free society, especially in times of crisis. And as Rose Kennedy's son once said, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
Do not evict Occupy Boston protesters, protect them instead!
Greetings,
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Nancy Brennan, director of The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy. The Conservancy has recently asked Boston major Menino to evict the Occupy Boston protesters. This is an egregious anti-democratic action, and an ironic one when it carries the Kennedy name.
