Yes they shot a CORGI!
Everyday hundreds of homes are raided by Police. In many of these raids Family Pets become victims of Police tactics and are murdered by armored, automatic weapon wielding officers; yet groups like PETA and the ASPCA do nothing to help address this grievous issue.
This petition is to demand these animal rights groups address the killing of Pets during drug raids on the same level that they do with other instances of cruelty to animals and their owners. Currently these groups do not address this issue of cruelty.
Addressing The Killing of Family Pets During Police Raids
Greetings,
Everyday hundreds of police raids occur in the United States. During these raids it is common for Family Pets becoming victims to a police policy of shooting canines in the course of subduing a house under raid. Yet animal rights groups have done little to help end these incidents of brutality.
Men armed and armored, in this day and age, and as well trained as SWAT is purported to be should not immediately resort to murdering these animals. Non lethal equipment and trained personnel exist that would aid in safely capturing or immobilizing animals without having to harm or kill them. The current tactic is an injustice. Further there is a glaring hypocrisy evident in the animal rights organizations denoted by the void in response on this issue.
I am asking your organization to please address this issue with the same level of enthusiasm, dedication, public relations and advertising as you utilize in dealing with all other incidents of animal cruelty.
