This is a request not to cut any funds for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Ocean Lifeguards in the 2012 Miami Dade County Budget and maintain the great level of public safety on the beach.

We, the Miami Dade County residents and visitors feel that the Ocean Rescue Bureau is already understaffed. With that being said these lifeguards go above and beyond to provide an excellent service that keeps us safe and allows us to have a fun worry free experience at the beach with our friends and family. If this Staff becomes any shorter it would be a great risk for all of us and specifically to children, the elderly, those with disabilities, weak swimmers and visitors whom aren’t accustomed to the hazards of South Florida beaches
