Remove the word "Marriage" from all statutes and prohibit it's use in any new law or legislation. The word and function of "Marriage" must become the domain of the Churches, Mosques, Synagogue or Temples, etc. The separation or Church and State is a paramount principle of the US Constitution and a cornerstone of the Freedom of Religion. The rights, privileged, and responsibilities of Civil Unions is all that's required in law. Any two adults may get a License for Civil Union and all be given all rights and responsibilities to what was previously known as "Marriage"
Civil Unions for All or Give Marriage back to Churches

Dear Sirs, I wish to end the debate over what marriage is and who gets the right to be married. So here is what I propose:
Remove the word "Marriage" from all statutes and prohibit it's use in any new law or legislation. The word and function of "Marriage" must become the domain of the Churches, Mosques, Synagogue or Temples, etc. The separation or Church and State is a paramount principle of the US Constitution and a cornerstone of the Freedom of Religion. My Wife and friends have talked about this for some time and this is our conclusion. Strip the word marriage from all laws and replace it with Civil Unions and let the Churches, etc, have the domain of "marriage.
