Change Venue of Bollywood IIFA awards from Sri Lanka

Is it fair to have a celebration while a whole race is mourning?  Tamils across the globe mourning the massacre of tamils during the last year war in Srilanka. India International Film Awards (IIFA) popularly known for its high profile Bollywood awards is scheduled to happen in Srilanka during July 2- 4, 2010.  And the world is going to watch charismatic actors like  Sharuk Khan, Amitabh Bachan, Aiswarya rai are going to perform in the stages of Colombo to cheer the nation and the world to say loud that this country is an innocent country. Three day Bollywood extravaganza known as one of the biggest and powerful event of its kind is going to be performed in a country known for all wrong reasons.  

Nearly 1,40,000 tamils were massacred by the Srilankan Armed forces in its was ended may2009. UN secretary General called for an expert panel on Srilanka. The famous Permanent People's Tribunal chaired by worlds' renowned jurists found Srilanka guilty of War crimes and Genocide. Activists, Intellectuals, human rights organizations call for justice on tamil's genocide UN's high commissioner for  human rights Navanethem Pillay ( Judge of the International Criminal Court and President of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda), strongly condemns the Lankan government for its violations of Human rights. EU withdrawing its GSP+ tax benefit to Srilanka.  Channel 4 of UK telecasted execution of Nude and blindfolded tamil youth in point blank range and it is proved to be a real one by the UN's body.  Then, why is that India International Film Awards happening in Colombo , barring all these allegations?  What made the Indian Film Community to ignore the sacrifice of 14 tamilians from tamilnadu self immolated themselves to stop this bloody war. What made them to ignore the assassination of 400+ Indian Tamil fishermen by Lankan Navy inside Indian waters and international waters? . What made them to ignore the Tamilnadu(Indian state)  people's choice to oust all the Ruling Congress leaders from Tamilnadu in the 2009 election including the controversial winning of Mr.P.Chidambaram , India 's Current Home minister.

This award event will help the Srilanka to coverup the allegations and rebuild its brand. This brand building event is coming along with business conclave where hundreds of business heads from India is going to participate and invest in the human rights violation government. With this event Srilankan government can save its face and economy and still it can keep 95,000 tamils in the illegal concentration camp. IIFA awards will help this warcriminals to escape from their international pressure including UN & EU.  

Urge the IIFA to change its venue from Colombo and choose a better place that is not tainted with innocent's blood. It's our duty to condemn the criminals who committed crime against humanity. Let's say loud that ‘Business as usual cannot be a humane act when innocents get murdered'.
