Call on Mayor Maturo of East Haven, CT to resign after racist comments directed at the Latino community
The Issue
Four local police officers were charged with violating the civil rights of Latino citizens.
Mayor Maturo's comments about what he might for the Latino community.
"I might have tacos when I go home [for dinner]."
The Mayor's comments have no place in politics. His comments are racist, ridiculous, and disappointing. They reflect an inability to lead any city.
There is no coming back for this and he should resign immediately.
