Every year in Denmark, many intelligent and beautiful dolphins are killed. They are killed by young teenage boys as a "symbol" of reaching adulthood and becoming men. These dolphins do not die instantly, but instead are put through a horribly painful act of being sliced with thick hooks up to 4 times, causing them to release a cry that sounds like a new born baby. Then they are left, miserable and hurt, to die in their own blood with thousands of their pods. These dolphins are close to extinction. Due to their kind and friendly nature toward men, they trust us and come up to us without hesitation, expecting a playmate... but in return they receive a literal stab in the back.
Please, sign this petition, make a stand to show that this, along with all other forms of animal cruelty is wrong and should be punished.
