BOYCOTT COOPERSTOWN NY, END THE BULLYING AND BIGOTRY
BOYCOTT COOPERSTOWN NY, END THE BULLYING AND BIGOTRY
The Issue
Anthony Pacherille was 16 years old when he snapped after years of relentless bullying at Cooperstown High School by a black teen and his gang of thugs. He was bullied over his Italian heritage and devout Catholic faith. This bullying exacerbated Anthony's mental illness and, in a psychotic state, he left his home to kill one of his tormentors and himself.
Anthony survived a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. His tormentor received a small scratch to his arm. Anthony was arrested and chained to a bed for seven weeks. He was given no mental health treatment.
In a massive attempt to protect the reputation of "the home of baseball" school and legal officials denied and covered up the evidence of bullying and mental illness. Finding it easier to label Anthony an evil racist, the court sentenced Anthony, a child of 17, to 11 years in a maximum security prison. In the plea deal Anthony, or his attorney, were not allowed to mention the words "bullying" or "mental illness".
So Anthony left Otsego County and Cooperstown for 11 years, but the anti-Italian and anti-Catholic bullying continue. We ask every person concerned for the respect of Italians, Catholics, children, the bullied, and the mentally ill to BOYCOTT COOPERSTOWN New York and Otsego County. All decent people need to send a message that the reputation of a tourist town is not more important than the civility of human beings.
