Pull ads featuring anti-gay Chuck Norris

The Issue

Blizzard just had to apologize for featuring an anti-gay epithet laden rant by George Fisher at Blizzcon, and now they are using one of the most notoriously anti-gay celebrities of our time to represent their brand. Chuck Norris has penned several pieces for the SPLC-certified hate group, the American Family Association. He actively campaigned for passage of California's Proposition 8, which stripped same-sex couples of their hard won constitutional right to marry; he has labeled gay rights activists anarchists, directly advocated violence against the gay community, and even loudly condemned the Day of Silence in public schools, which aims to raise awareness of anti-gay bullying. Given Blizzard's rapidly declining subscription rates, it is time for them to stop alienating a substantial portion of the gaming community. Practical concerns aside, no one who campaigns for hate should be given a paycheck and the legitimacy that comes with representing a brand for an otherwise reputable company.
