Puppy mills abuse their animals by shoving them in cages, starving them, and denying them veterinary care, (etc...). They sell their animals only for a profit and most animals die in the mill. Puppies are also sold to pet stores and not taken to a vet, so when a person buys a pet it ends up being sick or having permanent health problems.
