Why This Is Important

As you may very well already be aware of, upon hearing that the Nobel Committee had greatly honored the US by awarding President Obama the Peace Prize, RNC chair Michael Steele said in part, "One thing is certain - President Obama won't be receiving any awards from Americans for job creation, fiscal responsibility, or backing up rhetoric with concrete action."  In his statement Mr. Steele implicitly criticized the Nobel Committee, disparaged the President, and devalued the honor.  When our President wins international recognition, every US citizen, no matter what party he or she belongs to, should celebrate.  Michael Steele owes all US citizens an apology.
