Ask Congress to Help Wildlife Survive and Thrive in a Warming World
The Issue
Last week I met a man from Maine. He'd come to Washington DC to talk to his legislators about the need to protect wildlife from global warming.
"This is the third major extinction on Earth," he said. "And this extinction is caused by us." That's why he decided to travel to Washington DC and advocate for strong climate and energy legislation that includes specific solutions for our wildlife and natural resources.
Currently, a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives is considering climate and energy legisliation to address global warming. This bill should not only address the causes of global warming, but also its impacts on our natural world.
Melting sea ice is causing vital hunting and breeding grounds for polar bears and other marine animals to disappear. More frequent and dangerous flooding, and severe droughts, are threatening important nesting and feeding habitats for migratory birds.
That's why we must dedicate funding in legislation to address global warming that protects and restores our natural world.
So, please send this important message to your representative today.
Sincerely,

Ask Congress to Help Wildlife Survive and Thrive in a Warming World
Global warming is already impacting our wildlife and wild places: Melting sea ice is causing vital hunting and breeding grounds for polar bears and other marine animals to disappear;
and more frequent and dangerous flooding and severe droughts are threatening important nesting and feeding habitats for migratory birds.
Please edit and send the message below, asking your representative to include safeguards in upcoming climate and energy legislation that will help our wildlife survive and thrive in a warming world
