ALEC is a privately-funded organization that has direct access to State and Federal lawmakers. ALEC meets each year to have 'task force' members (CORPORATE representatives) deliver 'model' legislative bills to affiliated politicians in office. The affiliated legislator will then take a bill back to office, clean it up to suit their State, for example, and will present the bill as their own. Basically, the corporations are writing their own laws! All of this is done behind closed doors in private meetings.

The politicians that are a part of this organization receive campaign contributions from the same corporations that run ALEC. Corruption couldn't be more direct than this.

Boycott and protest ALEC. Tell your your State and Federal legislators they cannot work for special interest groups--they work for American citizens!

Join in the physical protest of the Annual States and Nation Policy Summit in Phoenix, Arizona, Nov. 30 - Dec. 2, 2011!
