Dear Ambassador Kislyak,

More than 7000 Syrians have been killed since the revolution began 10 months ago, in addition to tens of thousands arrested and injured by the Assad regime. During the past three days, the regime intensified its military campaign committing atrocities in the Damascus suburbs, Homs, Hama, Idlib, Deir Azzour and other towns and villages, while the Russian government continues to arm and support the Assad regime and threatens to veto any UN resolution against the it.

The Syrian people need protection, and by arming the very regime that is killing them, Russia is complicit in the deaths of thousands of innocent Syrians, including many children. For the sake of humanity, I urge you, Mr. Ambassador to:
· Support a UN Security Council resolution demanding Assad to step down

Stop supporting and arming the Assad regime
Support the path for transition, and the protection of Syrian civilians implementation of safety zones and humanitarian corridors to protect civilians

Thank you for your prompt attention to this very urgent matter, and I hope we will see a change is Russia’s policy soon, before any more innocent Syrians are killed.
