During week of January 28, 2013, there were two separate shootings within a mile of Xavier's campus. Despite the fact that shots could be heard from campus and students requested information, the Xavier Administration never communicated to students, faculty, or staff regarding these incidents. Though it may not be an imminent threat to those on campus, the more information provided to the Xavier Community, the safer we can be.
This is not the first time this has happened, and it will not be the last. With more information, the entire Xavier community can better avoid potential threats. With faster and relevant communication from Xavier to our community, we can all feel safer and more supported by the University.
Sign this petition to show that you want to be more informed so that we can take the support to the administration of Xavier University and enact this change!
