Remove Ted Biondo from the RVC Board of Trustees

    1. Petition by

      Rockford, IL

According to Lisa Madigan, Attorney General for the State of Illinois, Mr. Ted Biondo is illegally holding a position on the Rock Valley College Board of Trustees. Mr. Biondo cannot hold positions on both the Winnebago County Board and the Rock Valley College Board of Trustees.

Mr. Biondo has so far refused to resign his position. As the State's Attorney for Winnebago County, it is Mr. Bruscato's responsibility to enforce The Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act and remove Mr. Biondo from the Rock Valley College Board of Trustees.

Mr Bruscato, I voted you into your position to uphold all laws to all people. Please work as we have directed you and uphold the Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act as it pertains to Mr. Ted Biondo. I will remember your actions when the next election is held.

The law is clear, no matter what Mr. Biondo thinks. I'm not interested in having someone on the board of an institution I support with my tax dollars who thinks laws apply only to others. We need board members who have the best interests of the institution at heart, not their own personal agendas.

It is troubling to me that our public servants feel that they are above the law. This is not first time Ted Biondo has tried to marginalize and get around existing laws, for the benefit of no one but himself. I find the response to the publics concern on this issue to be half hearted gestures at best, and honestly feel that the State's Attorney's office is willingly allowing these voilations to occur. This is unacceptable and the States Attorney's office shouldn't need an outside source to clarify what they already are paid to know, protect and uphold. Continued failure to enforce the law can be viewed as nothing short of conspiracy with Mr Biondo. And how far would the excuse of "the law might change" go with any other law breaker in the county? The States Attorney's office is given a lot of power with the expectation that they will use it wisely and in the public interest. It is currently only being used in individual and political interest. Right what is wrong for the integrity of the office.

I am signing this because this man is breaking the law, and he should not be allowed to get away with it,

I'm a professor at Rock Valley College, and this farce of a Board Member MUST GO. Not only because he's been breaking the law for some time, but because his obvious agenda is political and not educational.
