      Bronx, NY

Over the weekend of February 23, 2014, two young Black men on Pelham Parkway in the Bronx, New York were assaulted by police. One was asked to step off of a city bus to speak to police officers about his fare. Though witnesses say the man paid his fare, police attacked him, including throwing him to the ground and kicking him. Police officers and other government officials who egregiously break laws, abuse their power, and victimize the very constituents they are supposed to protect need to be disciplined and charged with a crime as any other civilian would be.

Investigate the Bronx NYC Police Officers involved in this this brutality and take appropriate actions against these individuals. Take immediate action rectifying the practices, protocols and training that police officers take/use to police our communities. Employ new techniques and mechanisms to ensure that police officers are policing our community, New York, by their mantra: Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect. Bring the tale of two policing cities to an end NOW.

To:
Ruben Diaz Jr., Bronx Borough President
William de Blasio, New York City Mayor
William Bratton, New York City Police Commisioner
Investigate the Bronx NYC Police Officers involved in this this brutality and take appropriate actions against these individuals.

Sincerely,

I live in Seattle where even after the federal investigation a year and 8 months ago proved the city was being defrauded for a system of accountability. The feds as always ended their investigation with "we never said we would prosecute any officers". Expect the same Ferguson. It takes all officers keeping their mouths shut for this to continue. The citizens pay dearly 50 Million not including lawsuits and settlements and all officers in the Seattle police department received retroactive raises going back through 2011 (the year of the federal investigation) The investigation also proved "over use of force" Beatings in hundreds of case in just one year. Expect nothing from a federal investigation because in the end no one has been held accountable and these criminals with badges throughout the Seattle police department ALL got away with it. Will your son or daughter be next? What about your mother or father? This is what America has become. Proven lying cops throughout departments abusing and defrauding us while America leads in incarceration rates with so many sitting in a cell based on the word of these cops. Its Disgusting.
