A majority of students in Wildwood Middle School are required to remain quiet during instruction in the classroom. This can make students "jumpy" and feel as though they need to communicate to one another. Lunch is the only period of time during the instructional day that allows students to decompress and socialize. Although students are still able to talk during their lunch period, the new seating arrangement makes it very complicated to do so. With it reverted to its original state, students will be more satisfied upon leaving the cafeteria and more focused in the classroom. Let us begin the metamorphosis of our current student and staff satisfaction rate and begin on a new note. Make a change Mustangs.

Middle School is a tough time!! Why should the whole school suffer for the bad apples in the bunch? I feel those bad apples and their parents should be brought in to be dealt with. Just attending sporting events and hearing about things from my middle schooler I can see that those bad apples kind of run the school.

I want my childs school to be a nurturing environment in which she may grow not only cognitivelyb but socially, and emotionally as well. I feel kids need an outlet to express themselves amoungst their peers. They should not only be able to communicate during lunch, but be able to go outside and get fresh air and excercise afterwards. Having these needs met will allow them to perform better overall in school.

It's very important for children to have some social time during school. The current way the cafeteria has arranged seating is restrictive and it needs to be reverted to the style where the children can face each other and talk properly.

This is crazy that Wildwood has come to this. It is not a prison. When my kids were in Shipley Elementary they had more freedom then this. Lunch time is supposed to be a time for the students to chill for a bit and have friend time. Be able to talk and bond with each other, friends and students. This is also very important too in there growing ages. If there are a few bad kids in there, they should be reprimanded individually, not taken out on the whole class. In their structured learning classes is the time to be quiet and learn. Maybe if you gave the kids the respect they deserve maybe they would give you the resect. Hmmm.... What a thought. Please reconsider this unnecessary seating arrangement where they can't even hardly talk. I bet the teachers and staff are aloud to talk to one another. Must add in one other thing. I just recently heard and feel really bad too that you are punishing the whole eighth grade class from their end of middle school year trip also for the same reason... A few bad kids! Seriously!
