Change Direction: Do Not Sue the Inn Again!

Western & Southern Needs a New Direction.

Why would a Fortune 500 company continue to sue one of Cincinnati's leading provider of affordable housing for women? Because Western & Southern wants the historic Anna Louise Inn building to turn it into housing that the working class will never be able to afford. The battle has gone on for two years, with lawsuit after lawsuit. It is time for Western & Southern to Leave the Inn Alone!

The Inn, which provides safe, affordable housing for hundreds of women in Cincinnati and houses the Off the Streets Program, which helps prostituted women find hope and healing and transformation, is vital to the welfare of our city.

All Western & Southern sees is $$. They want to seize the land to remove "those people" from their community and so they can put in new condominiums with a view that will house their kind of people. The working poor, and particularly working women, matter to God, and matter to the people of Cincinnati. It is time that they matter to Western & Southern as well.

To support the great people at the Anna Louise Inn, check out their website at: http://www.cinunionbethel.org/

Join us on Wednesday, July 25th beginning at 5:30 PM at Lytle Park in downtown Cincinnati for our Christmas in July celebration. Every December, Western & Southern makes room for the Nativity at Eden Park, but no Room for the Inn.
We will sing carols, watch a selection from the Nutcracker, and join our call for Western & Southern not to Sue the Inn Again. We have even ordered 2000 candy canes! Join us as we call on Western & Southern to commit not to sue the Inn again should the Anna Louise Inn get new permits from the city for their renovations.

I find it appalling that we ALLOW money-backed corporations to pervert the law in any way they see fit in order to benefit THEMSELVES. Help those who can not help themselves & stop the corporate takeover of our nation.

I have people VERY close to me who have survived drug addiction and are now living normal, happy lives. Please do not do away with yet another place for a second chance.

I stayed at the Anna Louise Inn 29 years ago when getting sober. It was what I could afford and gave me a safe place to learn to live a sober life. Today I am a nurse and a respected member of my community. Does everything in this country have to be about money and the wealthy getting more?
