Elisa Bauer is a 32 year old young woman who is currently living in a group home at the request of her adoptive parents who are her guardians. She is mentally retarded as the result of fetal alcohol syndrome and also has a mild form of epilepsy. She has recently become pregnant and has been ordered to have an abortion and undergo sterilization against her will and against the will of her parents. She is just finishing her first trimester. She knows she cannot care for the child, and her parents are already lining up qualified couples to adopt the baby. The state has no right to intervene in health related issues. That is up to her and her parents!

I am a disabled woman with higher qualifications and I was still threatened with forced adoption if I did not have an abortion. Forced abortion is just wrong. Disabled women are NOT children. We have a right to family life. No individual should have such power over another. If a foreign invader did such a thing in time of war what would we call it?

All life is sacred. If God chooses to give life, who are we to take it away. This is ultimately murder and the judge would have to answer to the ultimate judge, Jesus Christ, for his decision.

Why make her have an abortion? Are you serious? It's her body. It's a life. There a plenty of mentally challenged women that give birth to completely healthy babies every day! To try and terminate her pregnancy is sad and unconstitual. Atleast they are planning on giving the baby a life with parents that can care for it
