Bethel admits water rates change unfair

BETHEL - Village council's decision to raise water rates by 25 percent, and eliminate discounts for big users, has hurt businesses in town. When council voted on the rate increase it also eliminated "step-downs" from the water rates.

Do not like giving un-necessary money to the middleman. Also, I see no reason to support the village office where they seem to do nothing for the village but spend the village money on useless expenses that do nothing for the village.

I am a single mother trying to make ends meet. The constant raise in rates is taking a toll on myself and many others in my neighborhood.
