Urge legislators to support the Horse Slaughter Prevention Act

Even though Congress has passed a temporary ban on horse slaughter in the U.S. and the country's last horse slaughterhouses have been shut down, thousands of horses are still sent to Mexico and Canada every year to be killed for meat. The American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (H.R. 503/S. 311) can end the export of American horses for slaughter. Check to see if your U.S. Representative is already a co-sponsor of H.R. 503, and if your two U.S. Senators are co-sponsors of S. 311. If your legislators are not co-sponsors of the bill, Take Action to urge them to co-sponsor and support the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act.

The horses are worth off- as they are now sent to be killed. Very sad.
