Congressman Pete Stark

Urge Congressman Stark to debate his opponent, Eric Swalwell

    1. Congressman-Elect Eric Swalwell
    2. Petition by

      Congressman-Elect Eric Swalwell

      Dublin, CA

Holding a seat in Congress is not a right, it's a privilege, granted by the voters. Congressman Stark says he will not debate his opponent, Eric Swalwell, because he will be asked "stupid" questions. (SF Chronicle and ABC 7 News, 7.3.12) Let him know this is not acceptable. The voters deserve better. Congressman Stark must answer to his constituents and debate his opponent, Dublin City Councilman Eric Swalwell, to explain why he deserves re-election. Sign the petition asking him to debate!

20 terms? Stark is too old. We do not need career politicians. GOOH!

As a young voter, I am not familiar with Stark. Refusing to participate in one of the basic processes of our election process is offensive.

Eric Swalwell should have qual time and be heard.

Holding this position is a privilege and should be treated as such. When we have representatives who no longer believe that this is a privilege than its time to remove them seeing that they no longer have the desire to serve the people and only have the desire to serve themselves. Case in point Diane Feinstein is doing the same as Pete Stark they have been long time representatives who I have voted for in the past but will no longer support if they do not debate the issues.
