Education is the key to the future. People who are struggling to get into college and graduate school as it is just became that much less likely to succeed. We are now facing, as a nation, billions of dollars in increases of what we have to pay back, and no longer get the ability to find a career, go to grad school, and pay off our loans in a timely manner. With these new laws, it will make going to school and making a better life for yourself almost unreachable. Sign this petition to tell congress this is not okay, and that they need to back the future of college education and to tell students it's affordable to learn!

We have now hit over 100 signatures. We are now rampantly pushing this through so that we can get the progress we need to make our voices heard in Washington. Let's not let them get away with making college a financially devastating decision. Education is key!

I am a full time Nursing student, full time mother...if I work too right know to have to pay back loans I would be exhausted and my children would loss their Medicaid which helps pay for my daughters growth hormones who has Turners...The government already stopped my Pellet Grant which hurt me because it took six years to get into the Nursing program which during that time I had to take unnecessary classes to earn an associates in General Studies which is no longer considered a degree. I feel a burden of a catch twenty-two for failure. I am tired of the constant struggle that the government seems to cause me and I am working really hard to get through school.

It's absurd! It's nearly impossible to find a job as it is and a college degree really does not help at all. Why on Earth would anyone think raising interest rates would help anyone? It's just one part of a plan for genocide of the poor.

I am a college student and although I have the privilege of attending college without student loans, I have many friends and peers who are not so lucky.

I believe that the law put into place impacting student loan repayment is unethical and simply a slap in the face to every young (or older) individual who has made the decision to attend college.

Politicians are so worried about creating jobs for America. Well here is a polite news flash for you all. If you create ALL THE JOBS IN THE WORLD, but make college unaffordable, the reality is that people will simply stop attending college. Why on earth would people want to SIGN UP for that kind of debt? Want to increase your workforce in quality AND quantity? Make college affordable and the education reputable.

      Problem, solved.

Education is spendy enough!! I am an alumni trying to pay off my student loans! I was hoping to go back to get my masters, but that will no longer happen because I cannot afford it!!
