Let Agung, 14 year UK resident with 'indefinite leave to remain' in the UK, come home.

    1. Petition by

      Matt Bain

      Perranporth, United Kingdom

Anak Agung Made Mantra has a British wife (Lesley) and a son (Marley) and 2 step sons. With this family he owns and runs property in the UK including 2 shops in Perranpoth, Cornwall, where he and his family are valued, integrated, active members of the community.

In 2001 the UK granted Agung "Indefinite Leave to Stay in the UK".

On the 25th of February, while in Bali (with Lesley and Marley) his passport went missing. This was reported to the Bali police. His lost passport contains this "Indefinite Leave to Stay in the UK".

Despite 14 years of documents (including historical travel documents and his 14 years of being a UK tax payer), on the 25th of June he has been refused the right to return to his family and community in the UK. Despite having issued the "Indefinite Leave to Stay in the UK", the UK Government Visas and Immigration department can't find details of the "Indefinite Leave to Stay in the UK" and want the stolen passport Bali police report officially translated (this is being done).

Please can the UK Government Visas and Immigration department check again for the records for evidence of his "Indefinite Leave to Stay in the UK" (we have been told the Home Office will have this) and accelerate re-considering his application to return to the UK when they get the translated police report.

He's a hard working, tax paying contributor to the UK.

In Cornwall, he has a wife, sons and a community that are all devastated and just want him home.

To:
Mrs Sarah Newton MP, Sarah Newton MP
Let Agung, 14 year UK resident with 'indefinite leave to remain' in the UK, come home.

Sincerely,

It seems unfair... If ukvisas are not questioning Agung assertion that he has made an application for ILR. Then they should be able to produce documentary proof that the leave to remain was given or refused. The loss of such a document is unacceptable... Especially as copy would also have been passed to the FCOs Consular and relevant geographical departments... Has the FCO been contacted. Surely they won't have lost their copy too?!!

He has a business and family here and has never caused any problems. Why suddenly prevent him from returning when he had indefinite leave to remain?

      This is madness.

I'm sure if he was super rich or related to / knew a high flying NO that strings would be pulled.

This is a good example of everything that is wrong with this country!

To establish the validity of Agung Mantra’s claim of indefinite leave to remain’, a person who has been a part of the community, a business proprietor & tax payer in the UK for more than a decade should be a ‘piece of cake’ for anyone with the will to do so! Is this too much to hope for from Home Office staff who seem to have so much difficulty keeping criminal illegal immigrants from walking into the country?
