Keep the "Centennial" US Soccer crest as the permanent crest for US Soccer.

UPDATE - Sunil Gulati, President of the US Soccer Federation, has been in contact with the following:

"Thanks--we are reviewing the crest and will make a decision later this year."

So let's stay on them! The more signatures the better!

What you see above is the crest being used by US Soccer to celebrate its Centennial. It is a sight that makes a great deal of sense, not just to fans of US Soccer, but to all Americans: 13 white stars - representing the thirteen original colonies - on a blue field, and 13 red and white stripes representing the same. It is evocative of and pays homage to the flag of the United States of America, waved and worn proudly by fans of the US National Soccer teams at all levels.

Compare that with the "standard" US Soccer crest. Three strange blue and white stars on a red field, and eleven blue and white stripes. Which nation is that meant to represent, exactly? That isn't even to mention the soccer ball flying across the middle, and we know it's 'flying across' the middle because of the helpful addition of speed lines. Are we a soccer federation in reality, or in some comic book universe?

The current "standard" US Soccer crest as it is started to round into shape in the early 1990's, and it shows. Now, it is time for a timeless crest for our nation to rally around, and to represent our players throughout the future. Keep the Centennial crest right where it is so that Americans for generations to come know their history and represent the future.

The current crest looks outdated and lacks the traditional feel that a classier crest would evoke. Please consider this change.

Dude, the flying soccer balls suck.

The current logo is terrible, even worse than the one it replaced. Another World Cup appearance has passed and we have second rate unis, not what they deserve.

This crest should represent the proud history of our country. It should be classsy. Currently it's cartoonish. It's time to represent the "USA" properly on our kits.

Because the current crest is terrible.
