Travelling with Pets

This is important as currently pets must travel in cargo on internal UK flights and also on flights into the UK. There are some airlines which allow travel in the cabin flying out of the UK. However, ALL flights outbound and inbound should be available to pet owners, whereby their pets can travel safely with them. Likewise, travel on Eurostar outbound from the UK and inbound to the UK should be available for pets. Clearly some Breeds may be excluded should it be deemed necessary, but in an effort to bring the UK into line with the majority of other countries in the world, we would ask that The British Government, DEFRA, BAA and Eurostar do look at this favourably, it is time for the UK to join the rest of the World.

We should have the same provision as other EU citizens. It is unfair and inequitable on a range of levels. PLEASE work through the issues to allow small pets in the aircraft cabin

I and many members of my family travel frequently to Perpignan, and we do not wish to leave our small dog at home. We would prefer to travel by train, not possible as Eurostar seems to be living in the dark ages

Because I spend long periods of time abroad and the fact that I can't take my cat in and out of the UK by air is ridiculous. Why is it that it's ok to drive a cat into the uk and no fly it? The only thing that does is to make the trip longer, more expensive and more stressful for the pet and the pet owner.

The UK's policy is antiquated and unnecessary. With pet passports, we should all be allowed to travel with our pets in the cabin. I like to travel cross-Atlantic with my dog. At the moment, I have to fly into Paris, then catch a ride to Calais, then jump on a ferry, and then drive back to London. Guess what Heathrow? You are losing lots of £££ to airports on the continent who are more pet-friendly.

While travelling with pets I have to be sure that my pets will get the perfect conditions during our travell by train or by plane to/from the UK
