The YMCA advertises themselves as a community strengthening non profit organization. Its time that they start with their employees, any non director job goes without benifits, such as health care, paid vacation, and although they are open for almost every holiday, they get no bonus for being required to work them.

      I do not see money spent wisely at the YMCA...3 years, no raise and no benefits...yet thousands of dollars are spend every year on custom printed folders, snacks at the metro office, wasteful paper forms, security systems that are not used...the list continues. Simply stated, the YMCA is inefficient. They should strive to treat their employees with the principles they advertise in our community.

      Before the YMCA can advertise as a community strenghthening non-profit organization in good conscience, they must be able to provide strength and health for their employees. How can workers strengthen a community when they are not empowered with basic human necessities such as health care?
