Remove gender bias against fathers in child custody and support

The child support and custody system is an absolute disgrace when it comes to granting favor to mothers over fathers, no matter how blatantly abusive and neglectful they are towards their children. The Judicial system puts the best interest of the child behind the best interest of the (sociopathic "golden uterus") mother. This is especially evident in the State of Montana, where I have firsthand witness to my husband's own three year custody and child support struggle, as well as many male friends who have had their children ripped from their loving arms and put in to the hands of sinister mother who is collecting unreasonable amounts of child support. There needs to be an end to this irrational ruining of lives, and it will start with Montana!

I have seen this time and time again where the court system fails to designate an advocate for the child to ensure the child is placed with the parent that is the most capable of providing a stable loving environment for the child. It was once felt that the mother's had a natural instinct to mother and nurture. It has been proven that this is not the case. There needs to be and advocate for this child that the court will listen to.

I'm going through this right now. The mother is very similar to the one in the petition post. I was told by many assistance sources "we have no services for single fathers" and was also told by CSED that "you're the father, you need to pay support" WHEN THE KIDS ARE WITH ME FULL TIME! It needs to stop. Just because we're the father, doesn't make us some deadbeat by default!

I am originally from Montana and I ended up having to file an emergancy parenting plan the summer of 2012 and I won custody of my children at that point but now the judge that we had before died and my ex-wife has taken me back to court. The judge told me that he thinks my daughters best interest is with her mother because she is a female. My ex-wife held a gun to one of the step childrens heads that was living in the house and my daughter witnessed it. I am a good father doing the best that I can and I think it is just ignorant to think just because I am a male I don't know how to raise my female daughter. Please get this fixed before its too late!

My husband has 2 children with his ex-wife, and we fought hard for his rights as well. Our kids did not experience anything this severe. Men are treated horrible by the courts and it is not fair. The courts HAVE to see what is best for the child and follow through with that. Not all women are meant to be MOMs!
