My niece, Maryann, was a victim of a drunk driving fatality in January 2010. Maryann's family has been suffering the tremendous loss of a beautiful young 27 year old woman who was in the prime of her life and had many wonderful things to offer this world. Help me and my family in lobbying the State of Connecticut in making first time offenders pay with longer prison terms and suspension of driving privelages for extended periods when a life altering accident occurs as was the case for our family.

My nephew Robert Bickett was killed by a drunk driver that had 3 prior DUI's. In my experience, educate as many people as you can and have them contact thier district Senators! Strength in numbers!! I wish you best of luck as I am in the same battle. I hope you and your family will find peace.

Drinking and driving laws give way to many chances for more innocent people to be killed. The law needs to reflect the irresponsible
