Ban the promotion and use of GENETICALLY MODIFIED CROPS in Uganda.

By eroding our traditional crops farmers become dependant on buying genetically modified seeds which do not replicate, this increases dependence, poverty and hunger. 80% of our population depends on agriculture, being dependant on foreign multi-nationals puts our entire nation at risk.
The effects of GMO's on Human Beings health are poorly understood and may lead to side effects like cancer, allergies and birth defects.

GMO labeling is my #1 cause. Let's just inundate all petitions, government, and local offices. I have a similar petition...please sign and please sign every other one until this is changed. The people are stronger than this corporation and we need to do all we can to stop them. Labeling first and then work on what they are doing to the environment.
