These chemical are very dangerous to the environment especially in the water supply. There are all kinds of recycling laws including for tires, batteries and electronics - why not chemicals?

Most of us in this region drink from the same river where our treated waste water is released, so the drugs we dump into our toilets end up i the next guy's glass of water. We must stop this dangerous practice, especially regarding hormones that can affect our children. Thanks.

and to note all ingredients including dyes and binders, type of plastic..and notify patients when changes have been made to a medicine..even for "insignificant" changes in binders or dyes to protect those with extreme and varied allergies...including changing quality of plastic of vials, etc.(

I use many drugs. some for only a short time, some over long periods. When they are out of date or no longer needed, I am told not to flush them down the toilet or throw them in the trash because both methods of disposal returns them to the ground water supply. The ground water supply is a resource that we cannot afford not to protect.

Having just returned from a trip to Italy and seeing the recycling bin for discarded medications in front of every pharmacy there, I wondered why we didn't have it here in the US. Prior to leaving on my trip, I actually discarded several bottles of medicine in my regular trash due to expiration dates passed so it was fresh in my mind. Please let's do the right thing here and protect us!
