Natural Fenomenon like this is perfectly explained by Evloutionary history of vulcanic activity. There is no need or even more SPACE for any particular mitology or fairy tale (be it ispired by politically strong religion or otherwise).

I support the individuals’ freedom to believe and worship as they please and will defend that but presenting 'ideas' as fact is dishonest. It is a disservice to humanity and highly offensive to thinking individuals like me who work hard to become educated and informed about the world we live in.

Evolution has shown that creationism is fiction. It should not be promoted by the National Trust.

This is not science it is fundamentalist fairy tales. Nor is it relevant fairy tales of the Finn McCool variety, specific to the Causeway. It is a general world view that is utterly delusional; and it is quite intolerable that this nonsense should be promulgated by a publicly funded body. I will not be renewing my membership.
